Join us for our next Friday online industry session welcoming Roland Houareau, General Manager Northern Territory at INPEX. Roland will be sharing with our members and guests a 2020-2030 global energy outlook and opportunities on the pathway to recovery with regard to CONVID-19.

2020 has been an exercise in resilience.

Roland will also provide an industry overview into the first challenging year of the decade and how Ichthys LNG has responded to maintain safe and stable production.

In his role, Roland is the nominated corporate representative and a primary leader for INPEX in the Northern Territory.

Roland joined INPEX in 2009 and has been a member of the company’s senior management team for several years. His immediate past role was General Manager Industrial Relations for INPEX Australia.

Beginning his career in the resources industry in the mid-1990s working for Western Mining, Roland then worked with Bechtel for a decade in a range of roles on mega-development projects across Australia and Oceania.

In 2006 Roland returned home to Western Australia and worked for Woodside’s lead maintenance services contractor, supporting offshore and onshore assets.  He then went on to lead the Employee Relations function on BHP Billiton’s Worsley Alumina expansion.

Roland holds a first degree in International and Public Relations and a second degree, Master’s Project Management, from the University of Southern Queensland.

Roland is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and serves the Northern Territory business community as a Director on the Chamber of Commerce NT Board.  Roland lives in the Darwin suburbs with his wife Catherine and their two children.

Roland will be taking questions from meeting participants submitted prior to the event and must be received no later than COB Tuesday 19 May. If you wish to submit a question to be considered please send directly to sonia.harvey@energyclubnt.com.au
