Presentation Brief:

Industry is looking to get back to work with exploration continuing onshore to develop the Northern Territory's onshore gas resources. Simultaneously, a focus remains on the next steps of implementing the recommendations of the Pepper Inquiry and progressing the world class opportunity that exists in the Beetaloo basin.

Circle has been appointed by the Northern Territory Government to undertake independent Social, Cultural and Economic baseline studies and a Strategic Regional Assessment in the Beetaloo Sub-basin in the NT.

Both of these activities are a part of the NT Government’s response to the recommendations in the Final Report from the Scientific Inquiry into Hydraulic Fracturing in the NT and more specifically, as a part of the development of a Strategic Regional Environmental Baseline Assessment (SREBA), prior to the grant of any production licences for onshore unconventional gas resources.

James Kernaghan, Circle Advisory Managing Director, will provide an overview of the current plans and timing for the studies and the work undertaken to date.

Tickets include 2 course meal and drinks.
