Join us and Ward Keller for a 'Lunch & Learn' session to discuss the framework for progressing projects on land with Aboriginal interests.

We will hear from Ward Keller's Kevin Stephens, who has more than 25 years' experience specialising in mining, resources and projects in the Territory. Kevin is an energetic speaker who brings complicated topics to life in a way that is easily digestible by non-lawyers.

Aboriginal people have freehold title to over 47% of land in the Northern Territory and have native title rights and interests in over 46% of the Territory. As such, when establishing projects in the NT, it is important to understand the framework and processes required to achieve successful outcomes for Aboriginal people and private enterprise.

Many members will be aware of the challenges facing Santos, NOPSEMA and the Tiwi Land Council - this case will also be examined in more detail.
