Australia is at the beginning of a rapid growth in the volumes of decommissioning activity, with up to $20 billion of offshore decommissioning over the coming decade plus a growing volume of onshore work. Now is the time to take collective action to ensure our local industry is ready to execute this work safely, efficiently and with the best possible environmental outcomes.

In this presentation Francis Norman will be joined by Shane McWhinney from the Federal Government leading the work involved in the decommissioning of the Northern Endeavour. Their discussion outlines the size and shape of the workload and gives an overview of the work the Centre of Decommissioning Australia is undertaking to help industry prepare.

We will also hear from Chris Fearon, Business Development Manager representing Petrofac.
