Santos NEW Training and Employment Opportunities: Saltwater Pathways

Saltwater Pathways, a new Training and Employment Program funded by the Barossa Aboriginal Future Fund (BAFF) is now live and taking applications!

The BAFF is proudly funded by the Barossa join venture partners Santos, PRISM Energy Australia, and JERA Australia with $3.05MM being invested in the Saltwater Pathways program over the next 3 years.

Delivered in partnership with Programmed Apprenticeships and Traineeships, Saltwater Pathways is designed to provide paid traineeship opportunities for Aboriginal people from the 5 BAFF coastal communities in the NT:

  • Darwin/Daly/Wagait
  • Tiwi Islands
  • West Arnhem Land
  • East Arnhem Land
  • Victoria River District

This inaugural intake will offer up to 13 paid traineeship opportunities that are designed to connect participants with nationally recognised Cert II-Cert IV qualifications and on the job workplace experience linked to Barossa Operations.

Trainees will have the opportunity to complete their traineeships under the guidance of program partners Santos, BW Offshore, Intertek, Compass Group, Qube or Fields Group.

Available Traineeship categories include:

  • Warehouse and Logistics Traineeship
  • Laboratory Technician Traineeship
  • Security Traineeship
  • Hospitality Traineeship
  • Business Admin Traineeship
  • Environment Management Traineeship
  • HSE Traineeship

Drop-In Session at the Santos Darwin Shopfront

Coordinators of the program from Santos and Programmed Apprenticeships and Traineeships will be present at the Santos Darwin shopfront from 11am-1pm on Friday 31 July for anyone who would like to drop by and chat to someone in person. The Shopfront is located at T14/15, 41 the Mall, Darwin City.
